The studio of the “Diakoniewerk Gallneukirchen” is an offer for people with physical and mental disabilities to live out their personalities through creativity and artistic design. This is especially promoted by supporting each person’s ability and personality with his or her own style. The main pillars of the studio range from free drawing and painting to printmaking and applied graphics, from three-dimensional design with a variety of materials to workshops and single projects. Further emphasis is put on an increased cooperation with other institutions and artists as well as on working in the public space in form of exhibitions and art projects. The five exhibiting artists – Rosemarie Heidler, Erika Staudinger, Jutta Steinbeiß, Johanna Rohregger, Heinz-Frieder Adensamer – belong to the studio of the “Evangelisches Diakoniewerk Gallneukirchen”, where they have already been working for the last years. Today their works can be found in private collections, the collection of Arnulf Rainer, at the “Museum der Moderne Salzburg” and at international exhibitions. All artists incorporate their individual style in their personally chosen subjects.
