“Caritas Retz” – an institution for disabled people – is a unique Art Brut model in Austria. Crossing borders between realities to create artworks seemingly originating from crazy and distant worlds. While contemplating these works, new perspectives arise and a profound mode of communication between the artist and the viewer becomes possible. The Caritas model in Retz was also included in the most recent art catalogue of the company “Investkredit” as well as in the benchmark “Art Brut in Österreich. Kunst von Innen!” (“Art Brut in Austria. Art from the Inside!”) by Angelica Bäumer.
