Blom Philipp

Philipp Blom, born in Hamburg in 1970, studied philsophy, history and Jewish studies in Vienna and Oxford. He lives in Vienna, working as a writer and historian and regularly writing for European and American magazines and newspapers. He has received numerous awards, among others a scholarship at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, the Premis Internacionals Terenci Moix and the German nonfiction book prize. Recent publications include Der taumelnde Kontinent. Europa 1900 – 1914 (2009) and Die zerrissenen Jahre. 1918 – 1938 (2014). In July a new novel is set to be released.
