Seyran Ateş

Seyran Ateş, born 1963 in Istanbul, she is living since 1969 in Germany.  She is an author and is working as a lawyer in her own chancellery.  As a women rights activist, human rights activist and muslim women is also is one of the most important voices in the fight against religious violence and violence bound on tradition. 2017 she opened, together with six other shareholders, the liberal Ibn Rushd-Goethe Moschee in Berlin. Her most recent publications are: “Der Islam braucht eine sexuelle Revolution” (The Islam needs a sexual revolution) in 2009, “Wahlheimat” (Home of election) in 2013 and Selam, Frau Imamin (Selam, Mrs Imamin) in 2017.
