Kegel Sandra

Sandra Kegel is a German literary critic and journalist. Born in 1970 in Frankfurt am Main, she set off into the French Aix-en-Provence after her Abitur in order to follow a literature degree. Later on she studied German philology, romance studies as well as Theater, Film and Media Sciences in Vienna and in her hometown Frankfurt am Main. Subsequently Sandra Kegel worked freelance for Radio and multiple newspapers until a short work experience in FAZ’s Feuilleton turned into a longer apprenticeship in the News department. Sandra Kegel is since 1999 a managing editor in the Feuilleton and, since 2008, head of department of literature and literary life. She published the travelogue “Paris” and contributes, alongside being a journalist, in the Jury of various literature prizes such as the prize of the Leipziger book fair, the Friedrich-Hölderlin prize and the Ingeborg Bachmann prize. She herself received the Ravensburger media prize.
