Hamann Sibylle

Sibylle Hamann studied politics at the University of Vienna, the FU Berlin and the Beida in Peking. After graduating her studies, she travelling for a while, with and without destination. From 1990 on she worked for the newspaper “Kurier” and from 1995 to 2006 for “Profil”, in the section of foreign affairs. Soon she embarked on more travels, this time into crisis areas such as Central and South Africa, Haiti, the Balkan, the Middle East and Afghanistan), followed by research projects in the united States, Africa and Japan. Ever since 2006 she is a freelancing journalist and author in Vienna and writes for “Die Presse”, “Falter” and “Emma”. She is also the editor-in-chief for “Liga”, lecturer at the FH Wien, presenter and keynote speaker.
