Fossati Luca

Born in 1979 in Italy. Studied Physics in Italy and Astrophysics in Vienna. Habilitation in Space Sciences in Graz. Fossati is known for pioneering work on the study of atmospheric mass-loss in extra-solar planets and for results on stellar atmospheric characterisation and magnetic field detection. Along his career, he worked in six different institutions, in five different countries. Since the beginning of his career, twelve years ago, he authored more than 120 refereed publications. Since 2015, he is leading the group on extra-solar planet research at the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, in Graz.
