Elisabeth von Samsonow

Elisabeth von Samsonow is an eco-feminist artist and philosopher, full professor of philosophy and historical anthropology of art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna and visiting professor at the Bauhaus University Weimar (2012-2013). Her artistic work focuses on the systematic place of sculpture in the canon of the arts, a geo-logic of bodies, the interaction of bodies and media and the (re)invention of subjectivity in ecological art. She is co-founder of the “Land of the Goddesses” in the Pulkau Valley.
